Hair Stylist who inspired me

December 27, 2017

Every month I want to take a little time to reflect on hair stylist who inspire me and share them with you.  I've decided to limit to 5 per month so that I don't give you this list of thousands in one setting.  I will share the social media pages or websites with you for each stylist so please take a moment to look at some of the today's most amazing stylist.  To stylist every where thank you for inspiring me to be my best!

Nick Arrojo

My list has to start with Nick Arrojo, because he is the reason I became a stylist.  He was the stylist for What Not to Wear until 2009.  As cool as Ted Gibson might be, the show missed some magic for me when Nick left.  I loved the way he could see a woman, see her personality not just her face and create a look that would look amazing and be comfortable for the person in the chair.

I used to say I would give anything to sit in his chair, but it quickly became for me that I wanted to do for women what I watched him do.  That is where my I trust you hair services came into play.  Before I even graduated beauty school I went to a hair show just to see Nick teach a class.  He does a lot of live Facebook lessons and if I am not behind the chair you can find me watching one every time I get a chance.

Thank you to Nick Arrojo, every day I spend behind the chair started with him as an inspiration.

Philip Ring

As soon as you see Philip's creative and unique style you will understand how he made the list so fast.  Actually, he was the reason for the list.  After watching him join several of us in a fight to hold stylist to higher standard of ethics I couldn't help but want to share his creative eye with all my clients.

Enjoy the amazing art of Philip Ring.

Laurel Keel

Laurel is this crazy little stylist who hunkers down in the middle of a Hurricane grabs a cigarette and live feeds on her back porch.  I love her not just as a stylist but as a friend.  One Christmas many Christmases ago she had the pleasure of being my secret Santa.  Since I didn't really give her anything to go on she had to research me just a little and come up with a gift.  She nailed it, it was the winning gift of the Christmas season.  To me that says she listens, she observes and she cares what other people want in their life.  She also seems to be one of the people next to me screaming about the same stuff.  She is a fighter with a wicked sense of humor that keeps me laughing.  I fear for the world the first time her and I get together in a room and cause some chaos.  One day world watch out for it!

Bringing you the artistry that is Laurel Keel.

Kimberly Bamford

She will probably be surprised she made the list, but really she shouldn't be!  Her work, her smile her willingness to educate and share with those in her circle is what true hair styling is all about!  I have wanted to expand my knowledge base and often when I throw out weird questions she seems to know where to look.  Thanks to her inspiration I jumped into Thriver's Society and never looked back.  Her talent is limitless.

Meet Kimberly and enjoy the beauty of her work.

Teresa Sharp

Teresa is my education partner!  She's a local stylist to my area, but my first list wouldn't be complete without her.  When possible we try to travel together to local education events.  There are few people I would rather go to a hair class with then Teresa.  I know if I get stumped on something I can shoot her a text and chances are she will have an answer.  I've traveled with other stylist to education events, but I rarely find someone with my same thirst for knowledge and then sleep.  It is nice to know when I am going with her that our goal is always learning first.

Meet my beautiful friend Teresa.
