Magan Outlaw: Outlaw Jewelry Co.

Handcrafted Stamped Jewelry

It all started with a little girl, Magan, who couldn't find her name on anything. That desire to help others find jewelry customized with the right words or names for them grew from a little hobby into a small business with big dreams of helping others.

Magan and I meet several years ago and I have watched as Magan's hobby turned into Outlaw Jewel Company. I own several pieces and have had the pleasure of giving a few pieces as gifts as well as having contest where you would actually win a customized piece of jewelry. You can also see her work displayed at HartlineHair. Below are links to where you can learn more about Magan and Outlaw Jewelry Company. Now meet Magan and learn about Outlaw Jewelry.

Q: What is Outlaw Jewelry Company

A. Affordable customized hand stamped jewelry and more. It really starts with you the customer and what word or inspiration you want for your personalized custom piece. Each piece is hand stamped by me in my home office. I have an Etsy store and this year I started a website. The website is a still a work in progress. It started out as BejeweldOutlaw back in 2015 kind of as a hobby and in the last 3 years it has grown so much that I decided this year to re-brand to better represent the company. I am going to be in 2 boutiques this month. I also want to get into more boutiques and salons this year. I do several festival type events throughout the year, and stamp onsite at those.

Q. Why did you start Outlaw Jewelry Company

A: Growing up I never could find my name on anything, and I love that I can make it possible for others to find theirs. I wanted to give women a chance to have a special piece of jewelry for a reasonable price. I decided in the beginning that I wasn’t going to charge what I wouldn’t pay for jewelry. I love to help people out too. And I have been able to do this by doing fundraisers in the past for a few ladies going on mission trips. My hope as we go through 2018 to be able to get grow my business and still have time to do fund raisers.

Q. How do you balance work, home life, and your business?

A. It can be hard at times. I work a 40 hour job in a different city. I am a wife and mother to 3 boys. I do somethings on my lunch breaks and then after the boys are in bed I will work on orders, new items, etc. During busy times you will catch me making things while watching TV with my husband.

Q. What has been your biggest challenge?

A. That’s a hard one. I think not being able to do all the things I want to do with the business. I have great big ideas and I sometimes don’t know how to make them happen.

Q. What has been your biggest reward?

A. There have been several. Getting to know such amazing women is probably the biggest one. I’ve had the opportunity to make special pieces for some customers to help them deal with grief, or to mark a great accomplishment. And I love that I am able to do that.
